Sept 14 onwards – every pupil

3-6-2020 - I'm sure most of you have listened to the education minister, Kirsty Williams speaking today and probably know by now that every pupil is going to be back with us here in Bro Myrddin in the three weeks time. The school will re-open our doors for our pupils on the 29th of June and we really look forward to that. Of course not all pupils will be back at the same time or the same days. We will have more details soon.
22-6-2020 - It is important that year 10 and year 12 pupils check their pastoral Google Classrooms as schedules for the next three weeks will be shared. Timetables will include details of lessons and more importantly what rooms. Remember that it is possible for pupils to have a chat with school staff by contacting them through Google Classrooms or via the confidential heads of year messaging page.
Further information for our pupils on the schools on-line intranet - including the Headteacher's greeting. Correspondence for Parents are available on Parentpay.

Free School Meals payments – coronavirus

From the week beginning Monday, May 4, the majority of eligible families will receive payments into their bank / building society accounts. As well as making it easier for families, this also follows Government guidance regarding essential travel. The payments will be made every fortnight so that parents / guardians can continue to provide breakfast and lunch, five days a week for their child / children.

30/4/2020 -
QE High School will no longer be used as a food hub or as a collection point for free school meals after tomorrow. This will be provided by Ysgol Bro Myrddin instead from Monday, April 6. This is because the kitchens at QE High could be used to support the temporary hospital at Carmarthen Leisure Centre.

Children who are entitled to free school meals will also receive dry, tinned and other long-life food supplies to feed the whole family.

They are open Monday to Friday, between 9am and 11.30am and are run by council staff who have been redeployed to help deliver essential services. Please note the food hubs will not be open Good Friday (April 10) and Easter Monday (April 13).
